Almost the end
Well my stay at the Resort is nearing the end, I only have about a week to do. I've been doing housekeeping all that time. The nice thing was that it was a lot of walking, about 30 000 to 35 000 steps a day so I got to eat lots of good food to compensate hahahah. Hard physical work as we don't have all the amenities here that you would fine in a hotel in town. Walking from tent to tent, lots of stairs, no nice carts like in hotel we have to carry everything ourselves like big jug of water, all bedding, towels and all and not to mention all these compost toilets that are wonderful but not always working to their full potential. I've put up together a manual called "Bedwell Houseeping for dummies". So from now on any new staff should know what they have to do. I am looking forward to return home, I've been working 24 days straight with no days off and my poor body is saying stop but a good thing is my dear friend Sophie (massage therapist here) is here to give me nice massage.
I haven't seen marc all that time but I talk to him almost everyday (except a few night that I just pass out right after dinner.
No to forget I had Marielle Veilleux a friend from Nanaimo that came to do laundry for 2 weeks and I really enjoyed her stay here. I got to know her better and discovered that she is as a crazy fun women like me...lololol Now that she's gone I am the one doing laundry, about 40-60 loads a day. Doing it is nothing, it's sorting and folding it that is a big job and very hard on the body.
She was so amazed about the bears around here and how close they get to us. She really enjoyed her stay but she left with a sore body also.
Don't know what I will do for the rest of the summer but I have maybe 2-3 opportunities for a few weeks at another resort, will see what will happen with that but I wouldn't mind taking some time off and finish some purging in the house before we sell, by the way we got a few visitors last week and they really likes the place so god knows what will happen.
A cougar came to camp last week, very close to people, to close. Lots of staff and guests took pictures. We are not to go for walks alone or to work.
Maybe I'll get back to Dragon Boat when I get home but my shoulder is really bothering me right now. It get numb and tingling from the neck to half my back, shoulder blade and sometime on the front of my body. I am scheduled for a MRI in September. I've done in the last 2 years, Chiro, Acupuncture, Physio, Tense, Sacro Cranial Therapy, Pressure points, massage and got some relief but that about it.
Marc Marc come to visit me tomorrow for a day or two and them off to work next week and it might be for a long time as he hasn't started the 2010 quota yet so I think our trip to NB that we were planning will probably be canceled but we never know it might be a last minute thing.like
Well enough about my life, let me know what you are up to, I would like to hear from you all.
Big kisses and love you

June 2010 Going back
Well new adventures is waiting for me. I'll be leaving this Friday for the resort again. Most of you knows by now that there was a fire up there and they had to postpone the opening. They will open June 10th. Also you probably saw on the news the plane that crashed in Tofino. One couple that works at the resort lost their daughter and son and a niece on that crash. The daughter was working also at the resort last year. It has been a rough couple of weeks up there. Tragic...tragic.
Keep looking as I will let you know later what I will be doing up there, no office work this year...or maybe a little bit.
See ya all.... later
Mimxoxo
